Are you a Design Plan Whizz? Be. Lab’s One-Stop-Shop team is looking for a Design Plan Consultant to support our consultancy network.
The Design Plan Consultant is a critical player in delivering accessibility expertise to our team, our clients and access citizens across New Zealand, by providing advice on optimum accessible design to futureproof buildings and services.
Who we are looking for:
You have experience in interpreting design plans from concept through to detailed design. You have previous experience in one of the following: the building industry, architecture or drafting, or engineering. You have knowledge of the NZ Building code. Previous knowledge of CAD will give you an edge.
You have excellent attention to detail, are highly organised, and have the ability to hold and manage several things at the same time. You have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience with presentations.
You are a keen learner, and you either are familiar with human-centred design, or open to learning about Be. Lab’s approach to access design. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of disability or health condition.
This role requires someone who is a self-starter who is happy to work independently, and who also has the ability and desire to work cooperatively within the Be. Lab Team ensuring that all work is aligned with our organisational objectives.
