Michael joined Be. Lab in 2020 as a Relationship Manager in the Talent team. He has along history of community activism and is a strong believer in helping create cultural change that opens possibilities for those who may have been excluded in the past.
Michael was the architect and founding Director of the Rainbow Tick programme, New Zealand’s first LGBTTI+ workplace Diversity and Inclusion programme. Prior to this he has held roles in the Sociology Department at the University of Auckland, was Chair of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation, and was an English Language teacher. He has travelled widely and lived in Istanbul for eight years.
