My name is Sejin and I am Deaf. I live in West Auckland and I work at Stuff.co.nz.
I was born in South Korea and I moved to NZ when I was 9 years old. I am very passionate about my language, and love sharing it with others- and I am involved in the Auckland Deaf Youth Group.
I am really enjoying the Be. Leadership programme- it has opened my mind. I’ve become more aware about different access issues, and the diversity of our society.
I’ve also grown in confidence and courage- I am really proud of myself for doing this programme! And I have made so many new friends.
My hope for the world is that we can work together to protect the environment, and I would love to see more unity between races, and disabled and non-disabled.
I want to live in a world with no discrimination and I hope that I can help in some way.
